Los Estados miembros de la Alianza Bolivariana para los Pueblos de Nuestra América-Tratado de Comercio de los Pueblos (ALBA-TCP) saludan la realización en la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas del debate sobre la “Eliminación de las medidas coercitivas unilaterales extraterritoriales utilizadas como instrumento de coacción política y económica”, el pasado 13 de junio de 2024, en la ciudad de Nueva York.
Los países miembros de la Alianza aplauden esta iniciativa convocada por el Grupo de Amigos en Defensa de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas y ratifican una vez más su rechazo a esta práctica ilegal que ha servido para justificar las agresiones perpetradas contra los pueblos de, al menos, un tercio del planeta, los cuales han sido sometidos a castigos colectivos por motivaciones políticas.
Asimismo, celebran que, durante este debate en el seno de la Asamblea General, más de dos tercios de los Estados miembros de la Organización coincidieron en su rechazo a las medidas coercitivas unilaterales, violatorias de la Carta de Naciones Unidas y el Derecho Internacional, promovidas por los Estados Unidos.
El ALBA-TCP, apegado a los propósitos y principios establecidos en la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, rechaza cualquier intento de coerción política sobre países soberanos, obstaculizando su desarrollo económico, social y político y socavando la dignidad y seguridad de sus ciudadanos y ciudadanas.
Los pueblos del ALBA-TCP y del mundo entero seguirán alzando su voz en contra de estas agresiones.

ALBA-TCP WELCOMES DEBATE AT UN ON THE ELIMINATION OF UNILATERAL EXTRATERRITORIAL COERCIVE MEASURES USED AS AN INSTRUMENT OF POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC COERCION
The member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) welcome the debate at the United Nations General Assembly on the “Elimination of unilateral extraterritorial coercive measures used as an instrument of political and economic coercion”, held on June 13, 2024, in New York City.
The member countries of the Alliance applaud this initiative convened by the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations and once again reaffirm their rejection of this illegal practice, which has been used to justify the aggressions perpetrated against the peoples of at least one third of the planet, who have been subjected to collective punishment based on political grounds.
Likewise, they welcome the fact that, during this debate held within the General Assembly, more than two thirds of the Member States of the Organization unanimously rejected the unilateral coercive measures, which violate the Charter of the United Nations and the international law, and which are sponsored by the United States.
ALBA-TCP, committed to the purposes and principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, rejects any attempt at political coercion of sovereign countries, hindering their economic, social and political development and undermining the dignity and security of their citizens.
The ALBA-TCP peoples and the entire world will continue to raise their voices against these aggressions.
