Excelentísimo Señor Yoweri Kaguta, Presidente de la República de Uganda y Presidente del Movimiento de Países No Alineados.

Excelentísimos Señores y Señoras Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno y Jefes de Delegaciones.

Señores Observadores, invitados especiales y miembros de la prensa que nos acompañan en esta Reunión.

  1. El Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional de la República de Nicaragua transmite un cordial y fraternal saludo del Pueblo de Nicaragua, de nuestro Presidente, Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra y nuestra Vicepresidenta, Compañera Rosario Murillo, al pueblo y Gobierno de Uganda, a los Excelentísimos Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno y Jefes de Delegación, Ministras y Ministros de Relaciones Exteriores y Jefes de Delegación de los Estados Miembros del Movimiento de los Países No Alineados presentes en esta Cumbre.
  2. La delegación de Nicaragua desea agradecer las calurosas atenciones, amabilidad y hospitalidad del Pueblo y Gobierno de Uganda, así como la eficiente coordinación y organización para la celebración de esta exitosa Cumbre.
  3. Nos reunimos después de cuatro años desde nuestra última Cumbre en Bakú, Azerbaiyán, donde nos comprometimos a continuar defendiendo los Principios de Bandung para asegurar una adecuada respuesta a los desafíos del mundo contemporáneo, y mientras celebramos esta Décimo Novena Cumbre de nuestro Movimiento, es importante señalar que, nuestro mundo sigue enfrentándose a la ideología de dominación que es abrazada por las élites occidentales, caracterizadas por el control y manipulación del mundo financiero internacional, la perversión ideológica y cultural, el pensamiento imperialista, unipolar, excluyente y racista.
  4. Es por ello que, el tema de esta Cumbre: “Profundizar en la cooperación para una prosperidad mundial compartida”, representa la necesidad de reforzar la solidaridad internacional, de aunar esfuerzos y compromisos para asegurar el progreso de nuestros países del Sur Global, contribuyendo a un nuevo Orden Mundial Multipolar, con el auge de los nuevos actores regionales intercontinentales y una mayor cooperación entre los países en desarrollo.
  5. La Multipolaridad, es la respuesta acertada de nuestros Países en Desarrollo para romper con la hegemonía imperial, que por tanto tiempo ha sometido al planeta y a la mayoría de la población humana a la guerra, al colapso ambiental, a la destrucción, inestabilidad, a la pobreza y al hambre.
  6. Se sustenta en los principios del respeto mutuo, la no discriminación, la igualdad soberana entre los Estados, sin importar el tamaño geográfico o poblacional, poderío militar o económico; y fundamentada también en medidas y acciones de Respeto a la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, así como valores universales como la Paz, el Desarrollo, la Equidad, la Justicia Social, la Democracia y la Libertad, priorizando siempre la negociación, la concordia, la no injerencia, la cooperación mutuamente beneficiosa y la solución pacífica de las controversias.
  7. Como Movimiento y fieles a los principios de Bandung, debemos continuar proponiendo un consenso global basado en el Multilateralismo, la Multipolaridad, la Cooperación y la Solidaridad, que permita a nuestros países implementar exitosamente la Agenda 2030 y los Objetivos Desarrollo Sostenibles, erradicar la pobreza, con la desigualdad, reducir el hambre, la falta de salud y de educación, así como, cumplir urgentemente con los compromisos en el Acuerdo de Paris, especialmente, limitar el incremento de la temperatura global a 1.5°C. y apoyar las acciones de adaptación, mitigación, Justicia Climática y un mecanismo indemnización ante las Pérdidas y Daños en los países en desarrollo.
  8. Nicaragua aboga por el fortalecimiento del Multilateralismo y por el arreglo pacífico de las controversias.
  9. Esta importante reunión se realiza en un contexto de indignación global ante las agresiones inhumanas, el genocidio y graves crímenes de guerra cometidos por el Estado sionista contra la población Palestina en Gaza y Cisjordania, poniendo en peligro la Seguridad y la Paz Regional y Global.
  10. El Gobierno y Pueblo de Nicaragua denuncia y condena enérgicamente las atrocidades cometidas por el Gobierno de Israel contra niñ@s inocentes, mujeres indefensas y la población entera Palestina en Gaza y Cisjordania.
  11. El Pueblo y Gobierno de Nicaragua reafirma su solidaridad con Palestina y se suma a los Pueblos y Gobiernos amigos apoyando un cese al fuego inmediato, cese de acciones y ataques genocidas del Gobierno de Israel contra el Pueblo Palestino en la Franja de Gaza
  12. Nicaragua acoge con satisfacción la demanda de Sudáfrica ante la Corte Internacional de Justicia (CIJ) presentada el 29 de Diciembre de 2023 en contra de Israel por las violaciones de éste de sus obligaciones en virtud de la Convención para la Prevención y la Sanción del Delito de Genocidio de 1948 en relación con los palestinos en la Franja de Gaza.
  13. Apoyamos con convicción la solicitud de la Hermana delegación Palestina en su legítimo derecho al reconocimiento como Miembro Pleno de Naciones Unidas, su integración a la misma y a los Organismos Internacionales.
  14. Respaldamos también, la celebración de una Conferencia Internacional de Paz sobre Palestina. Es hora que los Pueblos del Mundo apoyemos solidariamente y con firmeza al Pueblo Palestino y su Justa Causa por la materialización del Estado Palestino, por su Seguridad y por la Paz.

Señor Presidente,

  1. Nicaragua retoma esta oportunidad para agradecer al MNOAL el respaldo brindado a nuestro país en incluir en el Documento Final de esta Cumbre, el caso de Nicaragua versus Estados Unidos en la Corte Internacional de Justicia, máximo órgano judicial de Naciones Unidas, así como la solicitud de Nicaragua de cumplir con el fallo judicial emitido por la Corte Internacional de Justicia del 27 de Junio de 1986, para indemnizar a Nicaragua.
  2. Los Pueblos del Mundo tenemos el derecho de ejercer nuestra Soberanía Nacional, Independencia, avanzando en la construcción y desarrollo de nuestro propio Modelo de Desarrollo Político, Económico, Social y Cultural, libre de injerencias o intervenciones, amenazas o agresiones extranjeras.
  3. Nicaragua rechaza y condena las ilegales, criminales y arbitrarias, Medidas Coercitivas Unilaterales, agresiones y sanciones destinadas a asfixiar a Pueblos y Gobiernos Soberanos que no se someten a los poderes del imperialismo, colonialismo y neocolonialismo.
  4. Nuestro abrazo solidario y revolucionario a la Hermana República de Cuba que continúa resistiendo actos de terrorismo, bloqueos, sanciones económicas, todas las agresiones del imperialismo y sus acciones desestabilizadoras.
  5. El Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional de la República de Nicaragua, bajo la Luz y Guía de nuestro Presidente, Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra y nuestra Vice Presidenta, Compañera Rosario Murillo, se mantiene firme y comprometido con la preservación de la paz, la estabilidad y la seguridad en Nicaragua, haciendo sus mejores esfuerzos y desarrollando sus políticas para garantizar prosperidad para tod@s los nicaragüenses, con inclusión y sin distinciones.
  6. Que la Justicia, la Paz, la Cooperación, la Estabilidad, el respeto mutuo entre Estados, Pueblos y Gobiernos, la no injerencia en los asuntos internos, respetando el Derecho Internacional, sea la ruta y comportamiento de nuestro Movimiento de Países No Alineados, en un Nuevo Orden Internacional, Multipolar, en convivencia pacífica, progreso y Desarrollo Inclusivo y Sostenible.
  7. Saludamos y felicitamos a la República de Uganda, a su Gobierno, y a su Pueblo en la Presidencia de este Movimiento, y transmitimos nuestros mejores deseos de éxito en la conducción durante su Presidencia.
  8. Asimismo, agradecemos a la República de Azerbaiyán por su liderazgo durante estos cuatro años, 2019-2023, y por los esfuerzos e iniciativas realizados en la conducción de nuestro Movimiento de Países No Alineados, durante su Presidencia, particularmente en tiempos sin precedentes de la Pandemia COVID-19.

Señor Presidente,

  1. Desde ya cuenta con todo nuestro apoyo y colaboración para seguir avanzando en el fortalecimiento, el protagonismo y la revitalización del MNOAL, y hacer prevalecer los derechos y aspiraciones de nuestros pueblos, sin injerencias ni agresiones, en un espacio de igualdad soberana, respeto mutuo, Paz, Progreso y estabilidad.
  2. Unidos y en solidaridad internacional nuestros Pueblos y Gobiernos Progresistas y Revolucionarios continuamos venciendo.

XIX Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement

 Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, Heads of State and Government and Heads of Delegations.

His Excellency General Odongo Jeje Abubakhar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda.

 Ladies and Gentlemen, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries that integrate up the Non-Aligned Movement.

 Ladies and Gentlemen, Observers, special guests and members of the press who accompany us at this Meeting.

  1. The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua transmits a cordial and fraternal greetings from the People of Nicaragua, from our President, Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra and our Vice President, Compañera Rosario Murillo, to the people and Government of Uganda, to Your Excellencies Heads of State and Government and Heads of Delegation, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Heads of Delegation of the Member States of the Non-Aligned Movement present at this Summit.
  2. The delegation of Nicaragua wishes to thank the warm attention, kindness and hospitality of the People and Government of Uganda, as well as the efficient coordination and organization for the celebration of this successful Summit.
  3. We meet after four years since our last Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, where we committed to continue upholding the Bandung Principles to ensure an adequate response to the challenges of the contemporary world, and as we celebrate this Nineteenth Summit of our Movement, it is important to note that our world continues to face the ideology of domination embraced by Western elites and characterized by the control and manipulation of the international financial world, as well as ideological and cultural perversion, imperialist, unipolar, excluding and racist thinking.
  4. This is why the theme of this Summit: “Deepening cooperation for a shared global prosperity”, represents the need to strengthen international solidarity, to join forces and commitments to ensure the progress of our countries in the Global South, by contributing to a new Multipolar World Order, with the rise of new intercontinental regional actors and greater cooperation between developing countries.
  5. Multipolarity is the correct response of our Developing Countries to break with imperial hegemony, which for so long has subjected the planet and the majority of the human population to war, environmental collapse, destruction, instability, poverty and hunger.
  6. It is based on the principles of mutual respect, non-discrimination, and sovereign equality among States, regardless of geographic or population size, military or economic power; and it is also based on measures and actions related to Respect for the Charter of the United Nations, as well as universal values such as Peace, Development, Equity, Social Justice, Democracy and Freedom, always prioritizing negotiation, harmony, non-interference, mutually beneficial cooperation and the peaceful settlement of disputes.
  7. As a Movement and by been faithful to the Bandung principles, we must continue to propose a global consensus based on Multilateralism, Multipolarity, Cooperation and Solidarity, which allows our countries to successfully implement the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, eradicate poverty, with inequality, reduce hunger, lack of health and education, as well as urgently comply with the commitments established in the Paris Agreement, especially, limiting the increase in global temperature to 1.5°C. and support adaptation, mitigation, Climate Justice actions and a compensation mechanism for Losses and Damage for developing
  8. Nicaragua advocates for the strengthening of Multilateralism and the peaceful settlement of disputes.
  9. This important meeting is held in a context of global indignation at the inhuman aggressions, genocide and serious war crimes committed by the Zionist State against the Palestinian population in Gaza and the West Bank, endangering Regional and Global Security and Peace.
  10. The Government and People of Nicaragua denounce and strongly condemn the atrocities committed by the Government of Israel against innocent children, defenseless women and the entire Palestinian population in Gaza and the West Bank.
  11. The People and Government of Nicaragua reaffirms its solidarity with Palestine and joins the friendly Peoples and Governments in supporting an immediate ceasefire and the cessation of genocidal actions and attacks by the Government of Israel against the Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip.
  12. Nicaragua welcomes South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) filed on December 29, 2023, for violating its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crime of Genocide of 1948 in relation to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
  13. We support with conviction the request of the Sister Palestinian delegation in its legitimate right to recognition as a Full Member of the United Nations, its integration into it and into International Organizations.
  14. We also support the celebration of an International Peace Conference on Palestine. It is time for the Peoples of the World to firmly and decisively support the Palestinian People and their Just Cause for the materialization of the Palestinian State, for its Security and for Peace.

Mr. President,

  1. Nicaragua takes this opportunity to thank the NAM for the support given to our country in including in the Final Document of this Summit, the case of Nicaragua versus the United States in the International Court of Justice, the highest judicial body of the United Nations, as well as Nicaragua’s request to comply with the judicial ruling issued by the International Court of Justice on June 27, 1986, to compensate Nicaragua.
  2. The Peoples of the World have the right to exercise our National Sovereignty, Independence, by advancing in the construction and development of our own Political, Economic, Social and Cultural Development Model, free of foreign interference or interventions, threats or aggression.
  3. Nicaragua rejects and condemns the illegal, criminal and arbitrary Unilateral Coercive Measures, aggressions and sanctions aimed at suffocating Sovereign Peoples and Governments that do not submit to the powers of imperialism, colonialism and neocolonialism.
  4. Our solidarity and revolutionary embrace to the Sister Republic of Cuba that continues to resist acts of terrorism, blockades, economic sanctions, all the aggressions of imperialism and its destabilizing actions.
  5. The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, under the Light and Guidance of our President, Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra and our Vice President, Comrade Rosario Murillo, remains firm and committed to the preservation of peace, stability and security in Nicaragua, making its best efforts and developing its policies to guarantee prosperity for all Nicaraguans, with inclusion and without distinctions.
  6. May Justice, Peace, Cooperation, Stability, mutual respect between States, Peoples and Governments, non-interference in internal affairs, respect for International Law, be the path and behavior of our Non-Aligned Movement Countries , in a New International, Multipolar Order, in peaceful coexistence, progress and Inclusive and Sustainable Development.
  7. We salute and congratulate the Republic of Uganda, its Government, and its People as the Presidency of this Movement, and we convey our best wishes for success in the leadership during its Presidency.
  8. Likewise, we thank the Republic of Azerbaijan for its leadership during these four years, 2019-2023, and for the efforts and initiatives made in leading our Non-Aligned Movement, during its Presidency, particularly during the unprecedented times of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Mr. President,

  1. From now on you have all our support and collaboration to continue advancing in the strengthening, protagonism and revitalization of the NAM, and to make the rights and aspirations of our peoples prevail, without interference or aggression, in a space of sovereign equality, respect mutual, peace, progress and stability.
  2. United and in international solidarity, our Progressive and Revolutionary Peoples and Governments will continue to win.
